I had my first baby at the age of 21 years, had a relatively small body. I used to work in a government organization and the older women I worked with would often backbite and laugh at me. I suffered from postpartum depression and when I overcame it, I realized there were many other young women going through postnatal and postpartum depression and some little gifts of love would cheer them up.

Every month, out of my little salary, I would spare a little and shop for the few I could and especially street mums.

After moving from my employment to business, I had a lot of time, I would visit secondhand markets and shops. When business was good, I would visit the baby supply store, buy the dead stock, wash and distribute it to mums. While shopping for the goods, I realized not many people knew of the existing baby supplies store and that’s where my interest to open a baby shop developed. I started my part-time business selling online and then moved to a physical store.
